I don’t understand how, or why, the Swedes tax those on benefits. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of benefits, the Govt giving with one hand and taking some back with the other.

He demonstrated clearly that keeping the labor party line is more important than rational conversation. However, was very happy that the audience, and panel were talking of labor in opposition and with numbers similar to QLD and NSW.

Sorry, as a climate change ‘heretic’ myself, I’ve experienced worse abuse than the climatologists supposedly experience. Frankly I just don’t believe it!
Most of us skeptics don’t have a vested interest in pursuing our own theories about this andropogenic climate change nonsense.
Change has been with us for millions of years and none of us will ever be around to see if they’re lying or not. In the meantime there are big livings to be made out of promoting these theories, as well as career advancement, extra funding for projects etc. It’s a magic pudding!

It’s ironic on the eve of Budget night to keep hearing Wayne Swan bumming on about his ‘budget for the battlers’.
Coming from the Treasurer of a Govt. that recently granted themselves huge pay rises while giving pensioners a lousy $4 a week rise, it may deceive his small coterie of out-of-touch ‘Cabinet of the bewildered’, but it doesn’t gain any street cred from the majority of Australians.
